But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23
"HE'S GOD'S MAN! HE CAN'T QUIT"
A young man taught a class of boys in a mission Sunday school. He won their hearts by his love and sincere interest. In time, he became discouraged because of criticism from others. He decided to resign as teacher.
Arriving early one Sunday to get his records in shape for his successor, he overheard a conversation by two of the boys of his class.
One said, "I'm not coming anymore because our teacher is going to quit."
The other boy said, "Why, he can't quit. I was the first boy in his class. One Sunday he told us that God sent him to teach us, and he said that God was his boss and he had to do what God said. He's God's man! He can't quit."
The teacher's eyes filled with tears. Silently he thanked God for the encouragement imparted to him by the saying of a trusting boy: "He' God's man! He can't quit." Alice Marie Knight

When Rev. Rrank E. Graeff went through sorrow and suffering, he began to feel that God had forgotten to be gracious. In his extremity, his thoughts turned to the Saviour. Instantly his burdens became lighter. Emerging triumphantly with the knowledge of Christ's entrance into his sorrows, the exclaimed, "Oh yes, He cares, I know He cares!" The words of the sorrow easing song came to him as if by divine revelation:
Does Jesus care when my heart is pained Too deeply for mirth or song, As the burdens press, and the cares distress, And the way grows weary and long? Oh yes, He cares, I know He cares; His heart is touched with my grief.

The Parable of the Five Sponges
There are 5 sponges laying on your kitchen counter top.
Each member of your family has been cleaning up different
areas of your home, but all the sponges look the same.
You are curious as to what was cleaned in your home, but
you can't tell by looking; they all look the same, so what
do you do? You squeeze each sponge to see what comes
out.
As you squeeze the first sponge, you see that cola comes
out, so you decide that someone cleaned the kitchen with
that one.
Upon squeezing the second sponge, you find tub and tile
cleaner--that one was used to clean the bathroom.
In the third sponge, you find motor oil--hubby was cleaning
the garage!
In the fourth sponge, baby powder puffs out when it is
squeezed--yep, the baby's nursery was done with that one!
In the last one is floor wax--that was the one you used on
the hall floor!
As you lay the last sponge down, you look again at their
similarity--and they all look the same until they're squeezed.
Christians are the same way. As life squeezes us, different
things come out--anger from one, a need for revenge from
another, tears from one, remorse from yet another, greed,
untruth, lust; finally, some saints pour forth the love of
Christ. Just like the sponge, we can only squeeze out
what is put in. Stay in the God's Word daily and be in
continuous prayer, so that when life puts the squeeze on
us, and it WILL, Jesus and Jesus ALONE will shine forth
from us! Have a blessed, squeaky clean day!

HYMNOLOGY
"I'D RATHER HAVE JESUS"
At the age of 23 George Beverly Shea (1909 - 2013) had a hard decision to make. He could accept a job offer in a secular singing position in New York City with a great salary and wide respect; or he could continue singing in
churches and for Christian radio programs. While sitting at the family piano, he started to prepare a special hymn for the Sunday service. On the piano he found a poem by Mr. Rhea F. Miller. He immediately began to compose the music for the poem and used the song that same morning in his father's church service. He also used those words to direct his life and has shared his song, "I'd Rather Have Jesus" with audiences around the world.
WHERE IS THE PATH?
E. Stanley Jones tells of the missionary in the jungle. He
got lost with nothing around him but bush and a few
cleared places. He finally found a small village and asked
one of the natives if he could lead him out of the jungle.
The native said he could. "All right," the missionary said,
"show me the way." They walked for hours through dense
brush hacking their way through unmarked jungle. The
missionary began to worry and said, "Are you quite sure
this is the way? Where is the path?"
The native said. "Bwana, in this place there is no path. I
am the path."
The path to God out of the jungle of this world is Jesus
who said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one
comes to the Father except through me"(John 14:6, NIV).
